What is the difference between Grass-fed and Regular Meat?

There are many differences but the main difference between grass-fed and regular meat lies in the diet of the animals and the way they were raised. Grass-fed meat comes from animals that have consumed grass and forage throughout their lives with free-range, whereas regular meat comes from animals that have been fed a combination of grains, corn, and other feed (often with added growth hormones).

What are the health benefits of eating Grass-fed?

Grass-fed meat contains higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), antioxidants such as vitamins E and C, beta-carotene, and glutathione compared to conventionally raised meat. Our animals are raised without the routine use of antibiotics and synthetic hormones, which helps reduce the risk of antibiotic-resistant bacteria spreading to humans through meat consumption. Because grass-fed meat is leaner than conventionally raised meat, it is also great for those who are looking to manage their weight or reduce their intake of saturated fat.

Does Grass-Fed Meat taste any different?

Grass-fed meat often has a slightly different taste and texture compared to regular meat. Many prefer the flavor of grass-fed meat, describing it as more robust or "gamier." You may find the meat to be less tender due to the animal's leaner muscle development.

How should I cook Grass-Fed Meat?

For best results, we recommend cooking grass-fed meat at slightly lower temperatures than conventional meat and using moist cooking methods to retain its tenderness and flavor.
